As a Sales Representative with SMG, you will utilize your strengths along with our training to set appointments to identify prospective clients’ insurance needs and to provide excellent customer service to our client base. Responsibilities: (Include, but not limited to)

  • Establish customer relationships and follow up with customers, as needed
  • Provide prompt, accurate and friendly customer service. Services can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages and policy changes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills – written, verbal and listening
  • Organization skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Proactive in problem-solving
  • Pride in getting work done accurately and timely
  • Closing deals
  • Travel required (typically 2-hour radius)

How SMG compensates you:

This is a salaried position that offers a generous bonus package. *This is not a com.mission position. While it is not a commission position, your earning potential is still unlimited with the added security of a stable paycheck. First-year entry-level Sales Representatives will make $30,000 + bonuses. Production-based incentives of up to $25,000 in addition to your salary. Sales Representatives that have been a part of SMG for a minimum of three years enjoy a salary of $100,000 + bonuses. How SMG supports your career:

Work from home after the training period (6-12 months)

Leads – company sponsored lead programs

  • SMG Training Program – provides licensing training free of charge; individuals will be reimbursed licensing fees upon completion of State exams
  • Advancement opportunities – management positions available after 36-48 months within local branch structure or other states.

Our Sales Representatives come from diverse professional backgrounds, many of whom do not have previous sales or management experience. With SMG’s training, you will become a successful agent with the following skills and abilities:

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications, Licenses):

  • 2-5 years sales or customer service experience preferred, BUT NOT REQUIRED
  • Excellent customer service, organizational and negotiation skills
  • Self-Motivated, goal oriented and enthusiastic presence in a team environment
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Professional appearance and work ethic
  • Computer Skills
  • Valid driver’s license
